Transparency

The Slow Food Foundation is the central entity that coordinates the movement’s global activities and supports its international network. The Foundation operates through several key areas of action:

  • Biodiversity Protection: The Foundation manages projects dedicated to defending agrobiodiversity and safeguarding traditional food cultures worldwide, with a particular focus on global sustainability.
  • Terra Madre Network: It oversees the organization of the biennial gathering of food communities in Turin and facilitates regional meetings to strengthen local networks.
  • Education and Advocacy: The Foundation finances and promotes educational programs and political initiatives aimed at transforming the global food system.
Through these pillars, the Slow Food Foundation provides the resources and coordination necessary to sustain the movement's mission and its diverse communities across the globe.

Our annual reports provide transparency and accountability, communicating the value of our vision to our stakeholders and funders and demonstrating the validity of the projects they support.
